Facebook

Social media (Facebook) image for #SleeveUp4HeadStartAs the largest social media site, Facebook is a great way to spread your message to as many people as you can. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you post. 

  • Although Facebook has a larger character limit than other sites, you should avoid long posts. Keep posts short and easy-to-read.  
  • Images and video are most likely to get people’s attention. Feel free to include one of these images with your post.

Find a Facebook frame that you can add to your profile picture. Download it from Other Bonus Graphics below. Select your profile picture, then “update profile picture.” Next, select “add frame” and search frames for “Sleeve Up for Head Start.”

Twitter

  • Twitter’s character limit is shorter than most other platforms. Keep posts brief and to the point. 
  • Use hashtags. It's how people find information about topics they're interested in. Tag posts with #SleeveUp4HeadStart. 
  • Twitter is a great place to network. Search for tweets that use our hashtag and retweet or like them. This increases engagement by adding great content to your feed and helping other pages find you.

Instagram

Social media image for #SleeveUp4HeadStart in a square format for LinkedIn and InstagramInstagram is great for sharing images. This is where you should share your best photos and graphics. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you post.

  • Sharing links on Instagram can be hard. Usually, the only place where you can put an active link is in your profile. If you want to share a link, put that link in your profile. Then, share your photo and use the caption to let your audience know they can find a link in your profile.
  • Instagram Stories are another fun way to share messages! After you post, consider sharing it to your story to increase visibility.
